Trip Information

Kilimanjaro, Tanzania Safari & Gorillas of Uganda

This is your chance to meet and travel with Wanderlust’s Founder, Priyantha Amarasinghe on some of our Kilimanjaro climbs and safaris in the 2018/2019 season!

He will also lead one of our new exploratory trips, Kilimanjaro Climb with Tanzania Highlights Safari & Gorillas of Uganda. Priyantha notes that while Tanzania has many notable similarities to some of the other African destinations, it retains an unmatched level of rugged adventure by way of endless possibilities for finest game viewing in Africa and of course the pinnacle of all, the Kilimanjaro challenge. We’d love for you to join us in one of these very special trips in 2018.

After all, strong relationships and connections always inspire us at Wanderlust Adventures and Priyantha, after having spent more than three decades of his life in adventure travel, founded Wanderlust in 2014 to bring together like-minded active people with a passion for physically rewarding travel.

SOME OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF OUR NEW TRIP: Climb Kilimanjaro with Tanzania Highlights & Gorillas of Uganda:

  • Climb Kilimanjaro on the Western Approach Route, considered to be the best route and the most scenic and least traveled route.
  • The only climbing route that reasonably and safely allows you to get close to the magnificent Kilimanjaro ice fields including the Furtwangler Glacier and the lunar landscape of the inner crater and Ash Pit up close.
  • Sunset from Crater Camp looking out over seemingly all of Africa and a surreal night spent in the Crater floor at 18,500 feet.
  • Masaai tribal evening in Ngorongoro Highlands, a special goat roast, a traditional “Ol Pul” Masai feast. Those who are interested have a chance to sample the barbecue. The Masai will share stories, songs, and dances with us—a wonderful opportunity to learn about their remarkable culture and traditions.
  • 2 day exploration of Wild game migration at Serengeti, Tanzania’s signature game park
  • Olduvai, the small but fascinating archaeological site where Mary Leakey discovered the Zinjanthropus skull.
